Pulsed Flow Turbine Design Recommendations

چکیده
A preliminary analysis of turbine design, fit for pulsed flow, is proposed in this paper. It focuses on an academic 2D configuration using inviscid flows, since pressure loads due to wave propagation are several orders magnitude higher than friction and viscous effects do not significantly impinge the part, as previously shown by Hermet, 2021. As such, a large parametric study was carried out design experiments methodology. performance indicator adapted unsteady environment carefully defined before detailing factors chosen experiments. Since number substantial, screening identify influence output first established. The non-influential then omitted more quantitative law. surface response calculation allows determining factor level favouring best output. Consequently, main trends driven flow can be stated.

A dynamic flow model, which maps carrier gas pressures and carrier gas flow rates through the first dimension separation column, the modulator sample loop, and the second dimension separation column(s) in a pulsed-flow modulation comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (PFM-GCxGC) system is described. The dynamic flow model assists design of a PFM-GCxGC modulator and leads to rapid det...
